About us

Founded by artist and educator Zack Davey, the studio for Experimental art is an arts education organization focused on collaborating with organizations to provide classes and workshops on contemporary art practices.

goals

Through a rigorous exposure to material exploration, students will learn how to develop their practice as makers. from art historical lectures, to on site studio development, students will leave feeling more confident in their capabilities to create experimental works of art.

experience

Zack is a former Admissions Officer for rhode Island School of Design. he held the position for 5 years, serving on the admissions committee and providing hundreds of portfolio reviews to applicants each year.

He is also an alumni of RISD, having studied in the departments of painting, theory and history of art and design, and computation, technology, and culture.
